Shu Hua Xiong (b. 1994, Shanghai, China) is a Chinese-American artist currently living and working between New York and Tokyo. Her ethereal paintings on canvas move between figuration and abstraction, inhabiting a liminal space that holds both familiarity and uncertainty. Drawing from Taoist and Buddhist philosophy, Carl Jung’s theory of individuation, and her own research into world religions and contemporary spiritual movements, her visual language traces a journey toward oneness—integrating fragments and dualities into a unified whole.
