Georgina O’Brien (b. 2001) is a Korean/British artist living and working in New York City. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in the spring of 2023 with a concentration in painting. O’Brien creates scenes that encourage self-reflection of her lived experience, where themes of religion, her Korean heritage, loving and living are the most prominent. Her main surface of used bed sheets charges the spaces she paints and embeds them with domestic undertones, always keeping the universal concept of home at the heart of each composition.
