"If you were of the world" by Ludi Leiva
Acrylic monotype, oil pastel, corrector pen on paper
16.54 x 11.69"
Ludi Leiva (b. Canada, 1990) is a visual artist with roots in Guatemala and Slovakia. She approaches her drawing and painting practice as a spiritual act, a means of intuitively transmuting her subconscious into physical form. Her abstract figurative paintings and works on paper construct dreamlike atmospheres through contemplation of place, ritual, identity, metaphysics, and the in-between. Leiva received an MFA from Konstfack University in Stockholm and has exhibited her work internationally, including in London, Berlin, New York City, and Chicago. She currently lives and works in Stockholm.
