Stephen Vollo was born in Rochester, NY, in 1988. He earned a BA from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2010. Vollo moved to New York City in 2013 to attend the New York Academy of Art, where he received his MFA in Painting and was awarded the Post-Graduate Fellowship in 2015. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
